Thanks to all of the family, friends, Chapter Board of Directors and everyone who have donated to the Torrienne and Tristine Hunt Memorial Fund.  We have created a partnership with the South Bay Community Church of Fremont to assist SV NJB in distributing the funds.  South Bay Community Church already have a structure and process in place for assisting college bound students as well as in roads to help needy communities.

A business associate introduced me to one of the church youth group leaders. After a couple of meetings, it was decided on how the church would assist SV NJB in administering the Memorial Fund. One thing that made the South Bay Community Church an ideal partner were that Andre Hunt (SV NJB Deputy Sectional Director) and his family are members of the church.

Over the past couple of years, the total donations received were $3,264. In memory of Torrienne and Tristine, to date the Memorial Fund has allocated $2514. The balance of $750 will be made available for “needy” player Scholarships during the 2007-08 SV NJB Season.

Thanks again for all of the donations and we look forward to this season’s 2008 Torrienne and Tristine Hunt Memorial Fundraiser.
