Steps Returning Officials

If interested please join the referee mailing list and fill out the form HERE.
If you have officiated with Silicon Valley National Junior Basketball before, we would like to welcome you back for another great season.  Please follow the steps listed below to register.  Officials must complete the registration process first before they can be assigned games.
STEP 1: ONLINE REGISTRATION - ARBITER
Follow the ordered list below to complete the online registration through Arbiter Sports.
Arbiter Sports Online Registration
  1. Click this link to log into your SVNJB account on ArbiterSports using ID# 106248

  2. Click the upper tab “PROFILE” once logged into Arbiter

  3. On the left side under “ACCOUNT”, click “Custom Fields”

  4. View your information, edit or enter new information

  5. When finished, verify and click “Save”

  6. Complete the Availability section located in the "BLOCKS" tab. 

  7. After you have completed your availability exit the "BLOCKS" tab and go back to the "PROFILE" tab
     
  8. On the left side under “STATUS”, click the empty box “READY” to complete the re-activation process

  9. Print out & complete the following documents:

STEP 2: SUBMIT CONTRACTS & FORMS

If your banking information has changed, attach a voided check along with the Referee Contract / Code of Conduct form; otherwise submit the completed form only.

STEP 3: PAYMENT, FINGERPRINT, & GEAR
After you have completed the online registration & submitted your paperwork, you should:
  • Proceed to Registration & Pay Process section, to complete the initial referee association payment.

  • Get fingerprinted.  Officials over 18 are required to be fingerprinted.  Officials that are not fingerprinted will not be assigned games to officiate.

  • Attend an on-court training session.  On-Court training sessions are provided to help officials understand, improve, and acclimate themselves to the NJB rules and culture.  For more information regarding the on-court referee training, click on the Referee Training button below.

  • Buy NJB regulation Referee shirt.  Officials must wear an NJB referee shirt when officiating games.  *The Elite Referee shirt is only for the officials given an Elite rating.  Shirts will be available at the Referee clinic or you can order online by clicking the Referee Gear button below.
